The Texans cashed the board's mistake on Reed: B.

The board owed the Texans one, and it paid up: Jaylen Reed, the No. 188 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 20 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Reaching for Gadsden II left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
