A sensible, unshowy class lands the Texans a B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Texans would have aced it. Luke McCaffrey at pick No. 127 is 22 spots clear of where he belonged. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Landing Cohen that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
