The board owed the Texans one, and it paid up: Donovan Edwards, the No. 190 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 7 slot like a gift left on the doorstep.

Stackhouse has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
