Grand theft in slot 157: the Texans steal James and grade out a D-. The rest of the league had time to spare on Sam Hartman; the Texans did not wait, grabbing him 35 spots ahead at the 200th overall pick.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. With interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
