The Texans lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

The Texans clearly saw something nobody else did in J.J. Weaver, taking him 66 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman and quarterback went begging.

Reiman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
