Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB+ NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Ravens: B-.

The Ravens treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 250th overall pick on Jaden Dugger a full 67 spots early. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Johnson. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In slot 14 they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value.
Pick45 Rnd2 Chris Brazzell II
Nice patience on Chris Brazzell II, who had no business lasting to the Round 2 slot. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick80 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan in pick 80 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick115 Rnd4 Zakee Wheatley
The board fumbled Zakee Wheatley all the way to the 115th pick, and they scooped it up. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick154 Rnd5 Bishop Fitzgerald
They barely believed it either: Bishop Fitzgerald still on the board at pick No. 154. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick162 Rnd5 Trey Zuhn III
They will replay Trey Zuhn III at the 162nd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jakobe Thomas
You do not let a safety like Jakobe Thomas reach Round 5, Pick 33 and blink. They did not. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick174 Rnd5 Cade Klubnik
Cade Klubnik at pick No. 174 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick211 Rnd6 Bryce Boettcher
They robbed the room for Bryce Boettcher here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jaden Dugger
They reached into another round for Jaden Dugger, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick253 Rnd7 Dalton Johnson
Taking Dalton Johnson in No. 253 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
