Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall D
ValueA- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
Reed-Adams should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a D.

The phones were a trap the Chiefs kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Reed-Adams that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick148 Rnd5 Carson Beck
They robbed the room for Carson Beck here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tyreak Sapp
Tyreak Sapp at pick 169 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick176 Rnd5 Chris McClellan
They barely believed it either: Chris McClellan still on the board at the Round 5 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick210 Rnd6 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams in slot 210 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
