FutureA+
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Titans a A. Somebody in pick No. 119 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Titans sat still while Devin Neal, the No. 84 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
If Howard pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Shemar Stewart
In No. 15 they get a problem off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Kenneth Grant in the 34th overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick35
Rnd2
Aireontae Ersery
A premium they did not need to pay, Aireontae Ersery a notch or two before his time. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick45
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
A tight end of that caliber at the 45th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick102
Rnd4
Will Howard
Will Howard at the Round 4 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick119
Rnd4
Devin Neal
Somehow Devin Neal was still sitting there in the 119th overall pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
