Draft Grade — Titans

FutureA+
The phones sank the Titans this weekend: D+. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Titans took Oluwafemi Oladejo a full 67 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Williams value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In the Round 1 slot they get a moveable chess piece at tight end, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick76
Rnd3
Oluwafemi Oladejo
Oluwafemi Oladejo at the 76th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick80
Rnd3
Jalen Royals
Value with a capital V on Jalen Royals in the 80th overall pick, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick103
Rnd4
David Walker
David Walker in Round 4, Pick 1 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick120
Rnd4
Cobee Bryant
They paid sticker price for Cobee Bryant in pick 120, and that is fine. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick141
Rnd5
Hollin Pierce
They took Hollin Pierce at par in No. 141, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick149
Rnd5
Kyle Williams
Steal is underselling it; Kyle Williams at Round 5, Pick 11 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick167
Rnd5
Damien Martinez
Damien Martinez at the 167th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick178
Rnd6
JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues at pick 178 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick188
Rnd6
CJ West
CJ West at No. 188 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
