FutureA
A solid, sensible weekend for the Titans: B-. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Titans spent No. 219 on Andrew Coker, a name most had 27 spots down the list. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Hadden steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Adonai Mitchell
In pick No. 28 they get a true top target. A real need, handled.
Pick38
Rnd2
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson in slot 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick60
Rnd2
Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
They paid sticker price for Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in Round 2, Pick 28, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick99
Rnd3
Dominick Puni
They let Dominick Puni come to them and pounced at the Round 3 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick107
Rnd4
Renardo Green
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Renardo Green. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick145
Rnd5
Jalyx Hunt
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jalyx Hunt well ahead of where he belonged. It does not line up with the team's obvious holes.
Pick184
Rnd6
Kamal Hadden
Circle this one: Kamal Hadden at pick 184 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick219
Rnd6
Andrew Coker
Andrew Coker in pick No. 219 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
