The Bengals got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

The Bengals went off the board in a big way for Rasheen Ali, 30 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Bullard at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
