The steal of the weekend belongs to the Vikings and Howard: B-.

The Vikings did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Will Howard fell into slot 139. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Williams to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
