The Vikings spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Will Howard, the No. 101 name on the board, in slot 128. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They will need Stackhouse to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. Quantity was the play, for better or worse.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
