Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. Elijah Arroyo, the No. 74 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 141. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
