This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jay Higgins, the No. 183 name on the board, stolen at the 239th pick.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Pegues has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
