Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
Nobody dealt better than the Buccaneers this weekend: B+.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Michael Harris at the 235th pick is 46 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

However the rest shakes out, Leavitt at that price is a win they earned. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 A.J. Harris
In the 26th overall pick they get an island corner. A real need, handled.
Pick57 Rnd2 Sam Leavitt
Taking Sam Leavitt in pick No. 57 is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91 Rnd3 Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp at the Round 3 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick126 Rnd4 Justice Haynes
Value with a capital V on Justice Haynes in Round 4, Pick 24, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
Pick164 Rnd5 Khalil Barnes
They paid sticker price for Khalil Barnes in slot 164, and that is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick205 Rnd6 Dijon Johnson
Dijon Johnson in No. 205 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick235 Rnd7 Michael Harris
Value said wait; Michael Harris in the 235th pick says they were not listening. It adds depth where they could use a little.
