The steal of the weekend belongs to the Chiefs and Wheatley: D.

The Chiefs lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

They banked enough surplus on Wheatley to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
