They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Landing Muhammad that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
