McCarthy is the plan now, and the Commanders grade out a B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Wilson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The cost of the Tampa reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
