Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB FutureB
Grand theft in Round 7, Pick 20: the Eagles steal Still and grade out a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched Tarheeb Still slide 41 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Ford pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Taliese Fuaga
In No. 22 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value.
Pick50 Rnd2 Calen Bullock
A tidy little value on Calen Bullock in pick 50, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
Pick63 Rnd2 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the Round 2 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick97 Rnd3 Jacob Cowing
Jacob Cowing at Round 3, Pick 34 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick135 Rnd4 Jaheim Bell
Jaheim Bell in slot 135 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick156 Rnd5 Keith Randolph Jr.
They paid sticker price for Keith Randolph Jr. in pick No. 156, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick160 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
A straight-up fair deal on Braelon Allen at the 160th pick, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick170 Rnd5 Jaylan Ford
The board had cheaper options than Jaylan Ford at the 170th overall pick, and it noticed. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick171 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
By-the-book stuff, Joe Milton III at pick 171 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick178 Rnd6 Andru Phillips
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Andru Phillips. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick205 Rnd6 Braiden McGregor
They liked Braiden McGregor enough to skip the value, taking him in the 205th pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick240 Rnd7 Tarheeb Still
Tarheeb Still in the 240th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
