The Bears put a flag in the ground for Shemar Turner, 45 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Leonard. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
