BisTabi DRAFTING FOR THECardinals
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Cardinals and McCord: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Kyle McCord had no business being available in the 152nd pick, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Josh Simmons
In No. 16 they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47
Rnd2
Emeka Egbuka
A wide receiver of that caliber at slot 47 is the definition of value, full stop. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick78
Rnd3
Carson Schwesinger
They read the board right and Carson Schwesinger was the payoff at the 78th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick115
Rnd4
Nohl Williams
A reach for Nohl Williams in pick 115; a little patience would have been rewarded. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick152
Rnd5
Kyle McCord
The board fumbled Kyle McCord all the way to pick No. 152, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick225
Rnd7
Cam Jackson
They paid sticker price for Cam Jackson in the 225th overall pick, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
