Draft Grade — Jaguars

FutureB-
The Jaguars let Pritchett fall and pounced. Final grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Nehemiah Pritchett at the 171st pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Lovett reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In the Round 1 slot they get a double-digit-sack hope. Need was not the driver here.
Pick48
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
By-the-book stuff, Cooper Beebe at the 48th pick squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick114
Rnd4
Caelen Carson
Caelen Carson in the 114th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick116
Rnd4
Cole Bishop
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 116, where Cole Bishop graded well above the range. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick120
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at pick 120 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick153
Rnd5
Anthony Gould
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Anthony Gould at slot 153 is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick161
Rnd5
Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 25 is lovely value for the wide receiver. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick171
Rnd5
Nehemiah Pritchett
Steal is underselling it; Nehemiah Pritchett at No. 171 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick172
Rnd5
Fabien Lovett
They jumped the gun on Fabien Lovett, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick212
Rnd6
Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace in the 212th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick236
Rnd7
Frank Gore Jr.
A tidy little value on Frank Gore Jr. in pick 236, a step better than break-even. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
