WOOO DRAFTING FOR THETitans
Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B-
ValueC+
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Titans bet the future on Ward. The board says B-. Start where it matters. The Titans took Cam Ward to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will need Ezeiruaku to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In the 1st pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value.
Pick35
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
Donovan Ezeiruaku at Round 2, Pick 3 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick103
Rnd4
Xavier Restrepo
Xavier Restrepo at pick 103 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick120
Rnd4
Cam Skattebo
They let Cam Skattebo come to them and pounced at No. 120. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
