The Steelers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Steelers clearly saw something nobody else did in Javon Baker, taking him 60 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
