The Texans cashed the board's mistake on Smith: B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tykee Smith got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at Round 6, Pick 13. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Shipley has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
