More right than wrong for the Chiefs, and a B- to prove it. For all the boxes ticked, the Chiefs skipped the loudest one: tight end is exactly as bare as it was. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
The cost of the Bond reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick42
Rnd2
Aireontae Ersery
Aireontae Ersery at Round 2, Pick 10 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick63
Rnd2
Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond at pick No. 63 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
