Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B-. It is the swing that defines the weekend: Jordan Whittington in pick No. 203, a good 60 spots before the room expected him. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. Getting Clark where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Kamren Kinchens
In the 25th overall pick they get an enforcer at safety, even if it was a touch early.
Pick48
Rnd2
Kingsley Suamataia
A straight-up fair deal on Kingsley Suamataia at the 48th pick, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick57
Rnd2
Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Blake Corum
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Blake Corum in pick 88. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter at Round 3, Pick 28 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Pick96
Rnd3
Tykee Smith
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick No. 96 on Tykee Smith with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved.
Pick125
Rnd4
Jarrian Jones
Good price on Jarrian Jones in Round 4, Pick 25, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick135
Rnd4
Beaux Limmer
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Beaux Limmer. The roster fit checks out.
Pick203
Rnd6
Jordan Whittington
Jordan Whittington at slot 203 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick211
Rnd6
Jordan Magee
Steal is underselling it; Jordan Magee at the 211th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick217
Rnd6
De'Corian Clark
The board fumbled De'Corian Clark all the way to pick No. 217, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick219
Rnd6
Daequan Hardy
No edge and no loss on Daequan Hardy in the 219th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick246
Rnd7
Trey Wedig
Trey Wedig in No. 246 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
