FreshPrinceOfGB DRAFTING FOR THEPackers

Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Packers checked most of the boxes and earned a B. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Packers left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
Beebe at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Cooper DeJean
In the Round 1 slot they get a press-man option on the boundary. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41
Rnd2
Kamren Kinchens
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kamren Kinchens in Round 2, Pick 9. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick57
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edgerrin Cooper. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Cooper Beebe at slot 88. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick125
Rnd4
Dillon Johnson
A quiet steal in pick 125: Dillon Johnson for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
