The Jalen Rivers pick is the one that will follow the Steelers into the fall. They took him 102 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Campbell falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
