The trade table was a mismatch, and the Patriots were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Grant value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
