The Saints cashed the board's mistake on Ward: A-. Call it larceny. Cam Ward sat on the board until pick 225, and the Saints did not need to be asked twice.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Grover Stewart pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In the end it comes back to Ashton Jeanty, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
