The Bears drew a line under the quarterback search with Williams: C+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

The James pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

If Caleb Williams and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
