If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Bears, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
