The Bears won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-.

The Bears went off the board in a big way for Sam Hartman, 62 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Getting Corley where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

It is not that Bishop is a bad player; it is that the Bears had louder needs to answer first.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
