Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: B. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Jay Toia at the 195th pick, a reach of 126 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
Barton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, George Kittle leading the way.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
