The phones were a trap the Bills kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Howard falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

On the needs board they went 8 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
