A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Kyle Williams at Round 4, Pick 30. The Bills jumped the board by 39 and dared it to prove them wrong. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. The Hairston pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker, offensive lineman and other spots.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In the 30th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Trey Amos at pick No. 56 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.

The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went cornerback with Maxwell Hairston while clear needs at linebacker, offensive lineman and other spots sat open.

They read the board right and Cam Skattebo was the payoff at No. 109. The roster fit checks out.

This one needs a full-page explanation: Kyle Williams in the Round 4 slot, miles early. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Aeneas Peebles at slot 152. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

A tidy little value on Ben Sauls in No. 169, a step better than break-even. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
