They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop.

McCaffrey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Trice left real value on the table behind him.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
