The Bears robbed the room for Smith. Final grade: B+.

Somebody in pick 229 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Brashard Smith, the No. 108 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
