Somebody in the 229th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Nicholas Singleton, the No. 102 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The cost of the McLaughlin reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
