The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Tahj Brooks slide 129 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

If Caldwell pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The Lane Johnson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
