Nobody else had Jordan Johnson anywhere near slot 205. The Saints did, by 54 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Beebe value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
