Milton should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Kendall Milton at the 252nd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
