Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B-
ValueB-

TradesB-
FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent the 202nd pick on Trevin Wallace, a name the board had a full 31 spots lower. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Cooper DeJean
In No. 25 they get a press-man option on the boundary. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41
Rnd2
Darius Robinson
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darius Robinson. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick58
Rnd2
Kingsley Suamataia
No drama and no debate, Kingsley Suamataia went about where he belonged in the 58th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick88
Rnd3
Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni at the Round 3 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91
Rnd3
Cole Bishop
Cole Bishop at the 91st pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick126
Rnd4
Elijah Jones
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Elijah Jones in pick 126. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick169
Rnd5
Ty'Ron Hopper
Ty'Ron Hopper in pick 169 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick202
Rnd6
Trevin Wallace
They reached a country mile for Trevin Wallace at slot 202, and the board is aghast. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick219
Rnd6
Caedan Wallace
Good price on Caedan Wallace in No. 219, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick245
Rnd7
Rasheen Ali
Rasheen Ali in pick No. 245 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick255
Rnd7
Bub Means
The board had Bub Means higher than Round 7, Pick 35, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
