There is reaching, and then there is Patrick Payton at Round 5, Pick 35. The Ravens jumped the board by 74 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Stowers at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
