The Steelers found their guy under center in Nix: D-.

Nobody else had Roger Rosengarten anywhere near slot 98. The Steelers did, by 37 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here.

They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while safety, edge rusher and other spots went begging. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, safety very much included.
