Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Vikings.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Vikings did exactly that with Will Lee III in pick 82. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Stribling steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: safety settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In the 18th pick they get a three-down runner. A real need, handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Cayden Green
Cayden Green slipping to slot 50 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick82 Rnd3 Will Lee III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Will Lee III well ahead of where he belonged. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick97 Rnd3 Kenyon Sadiq
A tidy little value on Kenyon Sadiq in No. 97, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick118 Rnd4 Terry Moore
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Terry Moore in pick No. 118. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick157 Rnd5 Dane Key
A straight-up fair deal on Dane Key at pick 157, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jamal Haynes
A quiet steal in slot 173: Jamal Haynes for less than the market said. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick196 Rnd6 Robert Spears-Jennings
Robert Spears-Jennings at the 196th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick208 Rnd6 De'Zhaun Stribling
Steal is underselling it; De'Zhaun Stribling at pick 208 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick231 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
Nice patience on Dijon Johnson, who had no business lasting to No. 231. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
