Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Jaylen Reed, the No. 181 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
