The Steelers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Steelers never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Reaching for Thornton Jr. left real value on the table behind him. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Alfred Collins in the 57th pick is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick83 Rnd3 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at pick No. 83 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick123 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
A tidy bit of business in the 123rd overall pick, where Joshua Farmer graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

They paid a round early for DJ Giddens in pick 156, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
